DeLever and DCS collaborate with monthly 'Question Time' for Surveyors
After much by way of consideration and deliberation, we have decided to bring our 'monthly conversation' to the fore allowing any member of the surveying community [or other interested parties] to participate in an informal conversation about the Surveying profession.
As previously advised last month, we will cover everything from entry points to different pathways to alternative methods of becoming a qualified Chartered Surveyor. Of growing and particular interest is the plight of the mature candidates, many of whom could qualify for the 'experienced route'. We welcome participation from across our growing community of interest and remain keen to hear from those who are considering applying for Fellowship status too.
Initially offered as a 'simple conversation' the idea is to better understand what upcoming members of the profession want to know, need to know or are curious to find out. Unless otherwise other stated or previously advised, it will be a conversation and not a presentation.
Jointly hosted by DeLever Managing Director, Jon Lever FRICS and DCS founder and Chairman, Bola Abisogun OBE FRICS - for a duration, not to exceed 1 hour / 60minutes - invited guest speakers at all levels and stages of their career, drawn from across the profession, will be approached as per future themed conversations.
Commencing this Friday 25th June 2021; commencing at 12Noon [GMT / UK], the intention is to hold this forum event every calendar month on the third Friday of the month. Join us for a friendly conversation revolving around the topic(s) of the day, including the ever present APC challenge, for those seeking full MRICS chartered status.
The above is offered in recognition of and in addition to a further future announcement of our forthcoming mentoring partnership with UCEM, an initiative led by DCS Board Member Karen Ching MRICS as we are keen to reinstate conversations with interested members across the built environment profession; irrespective of their geographic location. Given our wholly appreciated and voluminous feedback, we are keen to also move beyond our historic London-centric activity, which has been fully leveraged [and built upon] during the ongoing pandemic.
Do stay in touch and support the conversation as we attempt to support you, enroute to a fabulous career.
