DCS Member shortlisted for #YSOYA 2018
The annual awards season is fast approaching and given the 'over-arching' focus of DiverseCity Surveyors, being the next generation of talent across the surveying profession, there is some more great news to share as we approach the 2018 event(s).
Aspiring professional, champion of diversity and long standing DCS member, Ms Judy Ngan a Project Manager at Rider Levett Bucknall has been shortlisted for the Project Management category in the RICS Matrics Young Surveyor of the Year Awards [#YSOYA]. The prestigious awards recognise and celebrate the most inspirational young surveying professionals in the UK. Judges will be looking for outstanding role models who work to the highest standards of professionalism and act as advocates for the profession.
The YSOYA shortlisting has, naturally, been recognised and promoted by Judy's employer [here] and DCS would like to extend a huge thank you to Judy's Mentor, Ms. Ann Bentley FRICS.
According to her professional profile, Ms. Bentley serves as a Member of Management Board and has risen to her current position as Chairman and Global Director at Rider Levett Bucknall. Ms Bentley's journey began from humble beginnings in 1989 when, as a Project Manager, she joined the firm known at that time, as Bucknall Austin. Ms. Bentley currently sits on the Construction Leadership Council, remains an advocate of diversity in the construction industry and is passionate about career opportunities being open to all sectors of society.
With a mentor of such incredible talent, it is hardly surprising that Judy has achieved such notable successes, long may they continue.
